First Race of the Year

Myself and Emily took part in a relay race on Killiney Hill yesterday evening. This is a Emily sitting near the registration desk as we tried to ignore the pre-event nerves. It was a 3 person team, each member did a 2 mile circuit before tagging in the next member. It was really tough. I haven't been running in what seems like 50 years, and it was a steep enough hilly course. My team came 4th, despite my best efforts for us to come dead last.

The views were beautiful though, if I was having less of a heart attack I could have appreciated them more. I took this picture before the race from near the top of the hill. It's looking down in the bray direction.
